We used to have time warner cable and I thought they were the best cable company there was in town but that thinking changed when I visited my Aunt in Chicago. My Aunt got the Filipino channels she got it through direct tv which is really great. When I got back to Texas, I went to time warner cable's office and asked if they had the Filipino channels, I was really sad and disappointed when they said No, because I really missed being in the Philippines and watching tv shows from there helps me and makes me feel closer to home.

When my family and I moved to our new house, I have asked my husband if we could get directtv instead of time warner cable for our home tv entertainment, he knew how much I enjoyed watching my tv shows so he said "YES!" right away without any hesitations. We've had direct tv for more than two years now and I am really loving it, my day is not complete without watching my tv series and tv shows from back home that is why I am so thankful for the Filipino channels offered by direct tv. Ok people the last season of The Bachelor is off the air and everyone is trash talking that relationship so you know what has to be just around the corner. The Bachelorette my friends is well on its way to our television programming. In only a few short weeks we will be subjected to Emily and her squeaky little tiny sweet voice and I don’t know if I can handle it. I was a good sport and watched every single episode of the last season of The Bachelor which ended with Ben and Courtney together. Don’t even get me started on that choice. Ben, what were you thinking? You had Lindsey right there looking all sweet and innocent and you decided to go ahead and choose the Black Widow instead. As Nikki said, “ you made your bed now you have to lie in it.” I guess he likes sleeping with spiders in his bed. Us Sisters

The sisters and I couldn’t figure out what to get mom and dad for Christmas this year until I stumbled across http://www.satelliteinternetbroadband.com/. I don’t know why it had taken us so long but we needed to get them internet anyway since their house is way out in the middle of nowhere. Mom usually drives an hour into town to go grocery shopping and things like that and it’s going to be really nice once she gets up and running at home that she’s able to get online and do a lot of her shopping. I think there’s something to be said for helping your parents once they age because they spent so many years helping us…they’ve been wonderful people to me and my sisters and we don’t mind spending a little extra at the holidays to let them know how very special we think they are. Plus, it’s nice not to have to hear mom whining for a whole year about how she didn’t get the kind of gift she really wanted!

Yo Gabba Gabba

My husband and I have a two-year-old son. We limit the amount of TV he watches so there are only a couple of shows that he watches. A friend of mine asked me if I let him watch Yo Gabba Gabba. Since we got Direct TV, I have started to ket him watch it, but I would much rather him watch other shows. Gabba is a show with colorful creatures that dance around and sing songs about topics like safety and taking baths. The songs are really annoying and do not rhyme, but they are very catchy and I often find myself or my son singing or humming them around the house. My husband hates the show and never lets our son watch the show when he is home. He thinks the show is stupid and that it is not educational. I actually think that the show is educational at times. The other day we were watching an episode about animals and the characters were exploring different kinds of animal tracks. Another episode was about safety and taught about the importance of wearing a seatbelt in the car and crossing the street. I guess my son will only get to watch these shows when he’s home with me.

In time, he must learn to adjust to her new life with a hot-headed husband, a rebellious daughter and a virtuous son who seems poised to follow in Ralph's footsteps, a vocation against which Ralph warns him.

In addition to the drama of the romance, this story, which unfolds over the course of several decades, also has to do with the hardships of rugged Australian living. We see a horrific boar hunt that results in the death of a beloved character, and other natural disasters threaten constantly. It's an exciting and devastating tale that shows a great deal about what life was like in Australia during this time.

Jeff Gordon Still a Powerhouse in the NASCAR World

Every Sunday my family gathers around the TV to watch the race on cable. We are all huge fans and enjoy this family time we spend together. We all are hoping for a different driver to win and that can sometimes lead to exciting moments! I first began watching the sport around the same time a man by the name of Jeff Gordon started and was quickly making a name for him. I wasn't too keen on the paint scheme of his car but he seemed nice and very talented and skilled behind the wheel.

In the last 15 years he has won four championships and proved that he is a great role model for the sport of NASCAR. My favorite year was 1998 when he not only won the championship but also won 13 races that season, a record. It was an amazing year to sport the number 24 but certainly was rough for anyone who wished him ill will. Thankfully he isn't booed quite so much anymore. Drive for five! Go Jeff!
